About Brenda Rode, DPT

Rode Physical Therapy is a patient-centered rehabilitation facility where the mission is to facilitate your recovery so as to maximize your autonomy and quality of life. My treatments are dynamic, innovative, effective and always patient-specific. With me, it’s all about you, all the time.

What We Treat

As a generalist, I enjoy treating individuals of all ages, and a wide array of musculoskeletal diagnoses. These include:

  • Acute and chronic neck and back conditions
  • New and old orthopedic injuries
  • Sports injuries
  • Motor vehicle accidents
  • Pre- and post-operative care

I have a special interest in cervical spine and shoulder treatment.

The Secret to Getting You Better Fast

I was drawn to physical therapy to help people, earning my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Pacific University in 2002. After years of practice in outpatient orthopedic settings throughout the state of Oregon, in 2016, I opened Rode Physical Therapy, a privately-owned and operated outpatient orthopedic physical therapy clinic. At Rode Physical Therapy, I specialize in manual therapy, and take pride in offering patients hour-long, uninterrupted, one-on-one treatment sessions and continuity of care. At my clinic, you’ll never see physical therapy assistants or aides. I want a single physical therapist to personally oversee every aspect of your recovery from start to finish. My secret to getting you better fast.

On a Personal Note

I’ve always wanted to have my own clinic, but I put it off to be a mom to three amazing children who fill my life with adventure and activity.

My kids, who are older now, along with my husband—Dr. Matthew Rode, who works in the community as a Family Practitioner and Emergency Room physician—are as excited as I am about this development.

Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, traveling, and traveling.  I love to explore and am drawn to the personal growth that stepping out of my comfort zone brings.  I am a dedicated yogi, and like skiing, kayaking, and camping.
